Bumble Bee Foods had to recall three different types of their company’s canned Chunk Light Tuna. The recall includes their Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna in water (5 oz. can), their Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna in oil (5 oz. can), and their Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna I water (4 pack of 5 oz. cans). The reason the recall was necessary is that the company shipped out 31,579 cases in February that were at risk for containing contaminant organisms and pathogens. Such contaminants could actually make a person fatally ill. Bumble Bee is urging consumers to throw away their tuna if the can code starts with a “T.” Consumers can also go to their website for more information at www.bumblebee.com.
If you or someone you love has experienced foodborne illness after consuming one of the above Bumble Bee tuna products, do not hesitate to contact the caring experts at Inserra & Kelley Law Offices to see whether you may be entitled to compensation.
