Fiat Chrysler is doing another recall, this time of almost 94,000 2015 Jeeps and also more than 86,000 Ram Pickups, mostly in North America. The air conditioning lines in the Jeep Cherokees were placed in such a close proximity to the exhaust manifold that they could catch fire. In the Ram pickups the rear axle shafts could break and the wheels could separate! Thankfully the issues were discovered in a Fiat Chrysler investigation finding the axle shafts had not been heat treated properly. Wearing and overheating could cause the pickup truck’s brake warning light to turn on. You may see your dealer for replacement of air conditioning lines in the Jeeps and replacement of the axle shafts in the pickup trucks.
