May is National Bike Month and bicyclists out there loving the cruiser style bikes may be effected by the Felt Bicycles May 1, 2015 recall of their beach cruiser, Felt Deep Six and El Guapo, bikes.  These bikes are one-speed and have coaster brakes with Felt or the model names on the bike frames.  The defect with these cool cruisers involves the fact that crashes can occur when the brakes fail.  Twenty-six of such incidents had been report to Felt, prompting the recall.

Felt Bicycles is instructing owners of any recalled cruisers to completely halt use of the bicycles.  Owners can contact a local Felt dealer for inspection and replacement of the rear hub cog/driver, free of charge.  The bicycles were sold for around $600 to $750 from June, 2014 to March, 2015.  Felt also has a toll-free number for owners to call of 866-433-5887 or a website http://www.feltbicycles.com/ where owners can click on the “notices” link for further information.

If you or a loved one has experienced an accident or injury due to a Felt bicycle defect, or a personal injury bicycling accident, do not hesitate to contact the caring professionals at Inserra & Kelley Law Offices.  You may be entitled to compensation.
