For the first time, manufacturers of vitamins, herbal pills and other dietary supplements will have to test all of their products’ ingredients, the Food and Drug Administration ordered yesterday.

It appears that the new regulation which will not take effect for at least another year only covers the proper listing of the ingredients of the product and has no actual say in the safety or propriety of use of the product.
