John received his law degree from Creighton University in 1976 and immediately began his personal injury practice with his father, Joseph.  John and his father became partners in 1979 and remain so adding Craig Kelley to the partnership in 1993. John is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Nebraska and the United States District Courts for the District of Nebraska and Colorado.

He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Nebraska Trial Lawyers Association, and past member of the Academy of Rail Labor Attorneys. John’s practice includes all areas of personal injury litigation and the firm has been designated to represent FELA clients (injured railroad employees) by the International Transportation Communications Union.

John and wife, Beth, an interior designer with Beth Putnam Interiors, Inc., reside in the Dundee area. They have two children and six grandchildren. Jeff Putnam is an attorney for the Firm.

John’s hobbies outside the Firm include all spectator sports, golf, movies, plays, travel, and cooking.  Favorite sport to watch is football; favorite US city to visit is a toss up between New York and Chicago; favorite foreign city to visit is Paris, not even close; favorite food to cook, Italian, what else.
