Truck accident results in Omaha verdict

A $6.6 million verdict was awarded an Illinois family by a federal court jury in Omaha. The family was travelling in a motor home on I-80 at Grand Island Nebraska when it was rear ended by a stolen semi-trailer truck, causing it to be pushed into an illegally parked semi-trailer truck at a rest area

A $6.6 million verdict was awarded an Illinois family by a federal court jury in Omaha.

The family was travelling in a motor home on I-80 at Grand Island Nebraska when it was rear ended by a stolen semi-trailer truck, causing it to be pushed into an illegally parked semi-trailer truck at a rest area.  The motor home exploded, killing the wife, and severly injuring the husband. The jury found the stolen semi 60% at fault and the illegally parked semi 40% at fault.
